We establish an asymptotic formula for the weighted quantum variance of dihedral Maass forms on Γ 0 ( D stretchy="false">) class="MJX-variant" mathvariant="normal">∖<!-- ∖ <mml:mrow class="MJX-TeXAtom-ORD"> mathvariant="double-struck">H \Gamma _0(D) \backslash \mathbb H in large eigenvalue limit, certain fixed alttext="upper D"> encoding="application/x-tex">D . As predicted physics literature, resulting quadratic form is related to classical geodesic flow , but also includes factors that are sensitive underlying arithmetic number field alttext="double-struck Q StartRoot EndRoot right-parenthesis"> mathvariant="double-struck">Q encoding="application/x-tex">\mathbb Q(\sqrt {D})

We investigate the numerical computation of Maaß cusp forms for the modular group corresponding to large eigenvalues. We present Fourier coefficients of two cusp forms whose eigenvalues exceed r = 40000. These eigenvalues are the largest that have so far been found in the case of the modular group. They are larger than the 130millionth eigenvalue.
